First of all, our old camera, Canon S1, was broken after some unexpected splashes of water covered it during one of the sailing exercises. After that I remember my boy-scout experience of using ordinary flashlight inside sealed cellophane bag during the crawfish hunting at my childhood.
So, this project is to get survival enclosure for my new camera, Fuji HD2000, to use it on boat and other adventures. The main challenge here is to provide clear view in front of camera optic and transparrent lid from spices container should suit me well because it exactly fits optic diameter.
This is working for beach and other such kind of outdoor leisure activities. However, idea may work underwater too, may be not deep, up to few feet. So, you have a space for improvement.
